Vladyslav Buialskyi

Vladyslav Buialskyi (Ukraine, 1997) received his musical training at the R. Glière Music Institute in Kyiv and at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (Kyiv Conservatory).

In 2018, he took part in the Kharkiv Assemblies International Music Competition, and throughout his career he has participated in numerous international vocal competitions. Among his most notable distinctions is the Brian Dickie Award for Young Talent at the Neue Stimmen competition.

He was both a semifinalist and finalist at the Stanisław Moniuszko International Vocal Competition in Warsaw, and already a semifinalist at the Tenor Viñas Singing Contest in 2019, where he received the Accademia Chigiana Special Prize.

In 2021, he was a semifinalist at Operalia and a finalist at the Éva Marton International Singing Competition.

In 2020, he joined the Metropolitan Opera in New York as a member of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, making his debut there on February 28, 2022, as a Flemish Deputy in Verdi’s Don Carlo.

He also took part in a performance of the Ukrainian national anthem alongside the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus during A Concert for Ukraine, an event that was later nominated for a Grammy Award.

Yuliia Zasimova (Ukraine, 1992) received her musical training at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv and at the Luhansk Music College. In 2016, she was a semifinalist at the Le Grand Prix de l’Opéra vocal competition in Bucharest (Romania).

From 2018 to 2019, she was a member of the International Opera Studio at Zurich Opera, a formative period in the development of her artistic career. During this time, she performed a range of roles, including Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, Pousette in Manon, Taumännchen in Hänsel und Gretel, and Miss Spink in Coraline by Turnage, among others.

Her career has been recognized with several international awards. In 2022, she won First Prize at the Juan Pons Singing Competition and Third Prize at the 11th Stanisław Moniuszko International Vocal Competition. Other distinctions include Third Prize at the Bulbul International Vocal Competition in Azerbaijan, as well as special prizes at the Klaudia Taev Competition in Estonia and the Opera Crown Competition in Georgia.

Vladyslav Tlushch (Ukraine, 1992) began his musical journey at the Lviv National Music Academy, where he studied with Professor Orest Sydir from 2012 to 2018. While still a student, he made his operatic debut as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro at the Lviv National Opera. The following year, he joined the Lviv Organ Hall as a soloist, performing a repertoire focused on early music and art song.

In 2018, he was accepted into the young artist programme at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw. He later continued his training as a member of the International Opera Studio at Zurich Opera during the 2019–2021 seasons.

Since 2021, he has been a regular member of the ensemble at Lucerne Theatre, where he has performed a wide range of roles, including Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Tarquinius (The Rape of Lucretia), Peter (Hänsel und Gretel), Marcello (La Bohème), Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus), and Sam (Trouble in Tahiti).

Tlushch has also gained international recognition through major competitions prior to winning the Tenor Viñas Contest. He was a finalist at Operalia in Mumbai (2024) and at the Queen Sonja International Music Competition in Oslo (2023). He also received Third Prize at the Virgilijus Noreika International Singing Competition in Vilnius (2023) and the Special Prize for Song at the Klaudia Taev Competition in Pärnu (2019).

Junhyeok Felix Park (South Korea, 1997) began his musical training at Kyung Hee University before moving to Italy to further his studies at the Conservatorio di Como. His vocal development has been shaped by masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Eleonora Buratto, Maria Grazia Schiavo and Andrea Concetti.

In the 2026 season, he appears as Belcore in L’elisir d’amore at the Teatro Pérez Galdós, further strengthening his growing international profile. In 2024, he was awarded First Prize and the Audience Prize at the 75th AsLiCo Competition.

His affinity for the Verdi repertoire has also been recognized with Third Prize at the 61st International Voci Verdiane Competition, along with first prizes at the Nicolai Ghiaurov, Giuditta Pasta and Salvatore Licitra competitions.

Recent highlights include the title role in Rigoletto at the Astana Opera House and Teatro Chiabrera in Savona, Ford in Falstaff at the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto and on the Opera Domani tour, and Marcello in La Bohème for Opera Lombardia. In concert, he has appeared as a soloist at Madrid’s Teatro Real and was named a “Rising Star” at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden.

Karla Pineda (Costa Rica, 1994) won the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica Young Soloists Competition and has been awarded the Bronze and Silver Orfeo prizes at the American ORFEO International Vocal Competition.

She began her vocal training under the guidance of Guadalupe González Kreysa while pursuing a degree in Music Education at the University of Costa Rica (UCR). Alongside her studies, she was part of the university’s Vocal Program, specializing in performance.

She is a member of the prestigious Operísima México studio, directed by maestro Rogelio Riojas-Nolasco. As part of the Costa Rican Opera Studio of the National Lyric Company, she made her debut in the official season of the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, performing Mozart’s Requiem and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy.

Since then, she has appeared as a soloist in a wide-ranging repertoire, including Bruno Vlahek’s Stabat Mater with Vox Nova, Ariel Ramírez’s Misa Criolla, and Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with the UCR Symphony Orchestra, among other notable engagements.

Her operatic repertoire continues to expand, featuring roles such as La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi by Puccini, Flora and Annina in La Traviata by Verdi, Maddalena in Rigoletto by Verdi, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni by Mozart, Dorabella in Così fan tutte by Mozart, Carmen in Carmen by Bizet, and Azucena in Il trovatore by Verdi.

Born in Barcelona in 1996, Elionor Martínez pursued her higher studies at the Conservatori del Liceu, where she was awarded a scholarship from the Ferrer-Salat Foundation and studied with soprano Dolors Aldea. She later completed a Master’s degree in Musical Performance (summa cum laude) at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel with Professor Marcel Boone, supported by the Salvat Foundation, and was awarded the prize for the best final Master’s recital of the 2021/22 academic year. She is also the recipient of the Salvat Bach Scholarship (2016) and four special prizes at the Josep Palet Singing Competition in Martorell, Barcelona (2019).

Her repertoire spans major works such as Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Passions and Magnificat, Mozart’s Requiem and Mass in C minor, Fauré’s Requiem and Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem. On the operatic stage, she has performed roles including Clorinda in Rossini’s La Cenerentola and Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Together with pianist Olivia Zaugg, she forms a Lied duo with which she has performed widely in Switzerland and Spain; they are also part of the “Lied the Future” programme of the Franz Schubert Association.

She performs regularly under the baton of Jordi Savall and has collaborated with conductors such as Ton Koopman, Andrés Gabetta, Hermes Helfricht and Salvador Brotons. She has appeared in leading venues including the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Wigmore Hall in London, the Philharmonie de Paris and the Palau de la Música Catalana, as well as at festivals such as Bachfest Leipzig and the Salzburg Festival.

Elionor Martínez has been selected by the European Concert Hall Organisation as a Rising Star for the 2026/27 season and will perform in some of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls.

Gloria Jieun Choi, guanyadora del Primer Gran Premi de la 62a edició del Concurs

The Korean soprano Gloria Jieun Choi completed  her Bachelor's degree in 2017 at Suwon 
University with Jeongmin Lee. She then completed her Master's degree in 2023 under KS Prof. Dr. Ewa Wolak at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. She receives vocal instruction from soprano JuYoung Hong.


Her repertoire includes Mimì in "La Bohème," the First Lady in "The Magic Flute," Marianne Leitmetzerin in "Der Rosenkavalier," Smeraldina in "The Love for Three Oranges," and the role of "She" in "The Human Voice," the Countess in "Le nozze di Figaro," and the title role in "Alcina."


In 2021, she debuted at the Konzerthaus Berlin Großer Saal in an Opera Gala, performing as Nedda (Pagliacci), Cio-Cio San (Madama 
Butterfly), Suzel (L’Amico Fritz), and Mimì (La Bohème). In 2022, she debuted at the Goethe Theater Bad Lauchstädt as Sieglinde & Gutrune in She has successfully participated in various competitions, winning  1st prize at the Concurs Internacional de Cant Tenor Vinãs in 2025, 1st prize at the Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane in 2024, 1st prize at the KBS Kepco Music Competition 
in 2023, 2nd prize at the Korea National Opera Competition in 2023, and 2nd prize at the Concorso Internazionale Riccardo Zandonai in 2022. In 2022, she received a Bayreuth scholarship and placed 3rd in the Richard Wagner Young Talent Award. 
Additionally, she received the concert prize at the Grandi Voci competition in Salzburg in 2020. 


In 2023, Gloria Jieun Choi was supported by a scholarship from the Bayreuth Stipendium, and in 2022, by the Giovanni Omodeo Foundation.


Further engagements in the 22/23 season include performances at the Staatstheater Cottbus, where she will make her debut as Mimì in "La Bohème."

Mhai Damian

Mihai Damian is a graduate of the “Ioan Sima” Art High School in Zalău, specializing in piano, and of the “Gheorghe Dima” National Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca. In 2019, he completed his studies in Conducting, and in 2024, at the same institution, he completed his studies in Classical Singing, under the guidance of  Professor Dr. Cristian Hodrea and Professor Dr. Habil. Iulia Suciu. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in the same institution.

He has achieved notable results, including:

  • Second Prize and Six Special Prizes at the Tenor Viñas International Singing Competition 2025 (Spain)
  • Second Prize at the Eva Marton International Singing Competition 2024 (Hungary)
  • First Prize and the Prize for the Best Interpretation of a Lied by Ionel Perlea at the “Ionel Perlea” International Singing Competition (Romania)

In 2023, during the Opera Ball in Cluj-Napoca, he was awarded the Alexandru Fărcaș Prize, presented by the Romanian National Opera. In 2025, on the stage of the Romanian Athenaeum, he received the "Revelation of the Year" award at the Musicrit Gala, organized by UCRRM. During his training period, he participated in various masterclasses with renowned artists such as: Ramón Vargas (Mexico/Austria), Ruxandra Donose (Romania/Austria), Leontina Văduva (Romania/France), Karola Theill (Germany), Vlad Iftinca (Romania), Roland Börger (Chile), Patrick Russil (United Kingdom), Cristian Hodrea (Romania), and Veronica Anușca (Romania).

Between 2019 and 2024, he worked as a baritone with the “Transylvania” State Philharmonic in Cluj-Napoca, and starting in 2024, he became a soloist of the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca. Over the years, he has collaborated with world-renowned conductors, including:
Lawrence Foster (USA), Henrik Nánási (Hungary), Felix Krieger (Germany), Hannu Lintu (Finland), David Crescenzi (Italy), Valentin Uryupin (Russia), Mihnea Ignat (Romania), Tiberiu Soare (Romania), and Cristian Spătaru (Republic of Moldova).

Since 2021, he has become a notable presence in the Romanian musical scene, performing on most of the country's major stages: The Romanian National Opera Bucharest, Romanian Athenaeum, Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca, Romanian National Opera Timișoara, Romanian National Opera Iași, Transylvania State Philharmonic, Banatul Philharmonic, Arad Philharmonic, Dinu Lipatti State Philharmonic, Oradea Philharmonic, Brașov Opera, and the Hungarian Opera of Cluj-Napoca.

In 2023, he was invited to perform the role of Donald in Benjamin Britten’s opera Billy Budd at the George Enescu International Festival — this performance marked the opera’s national premiere in Romania.

The year 2024 marked the international debut of the young performer, with appearances on important stages such as: Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro Real, Konzerthaus Berlin, Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest, Müpa Budapest, Ópera de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, and Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.
Thus, Mihai Damian is establishing himself as one of the most valuable musicians of his generation.

Robert Lewis

Welsh tenor Robert Lewis was a member of the Opéra National de Lyon Studio from 2022-2024.  He is a recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. 


During the 2024/25 season, Robert’s roles include Andres Wozzeck and L'abbé Andrea Chenier at Opéra National de Lyon, Scaramuccio and Ein Offizier Ariadne auf Naxos at Opéra de Rouen, Alfred Die Fledermaus in Barcelona and Seville with Les Musiciens du Louvre, Lensky Eugene Onegin at Opéra National de Lorraine, Der Bucklige Die Frau ohne Schatten Nationale Opera and Ballet, Amsterdam and War Requiemperformances in Japan.
Robert’s roles at the Opéra National de Lyon Studio included Walther Tannhäuser, Voice from the Temple Hérodiade and Don Curzio Le nozze di Figaro. He has also performed Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings with the orchestra of the Opéra de Lyon.  


In 2022 he made his debut with English Touring Opera singing the Astrologer The Golden Cockerel and covering Rodolfo La bohème. He was a 2021 Jerwood Young Artist for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, covering Jaquino and singing First Prisoner Fidelio. Other operatic highlights include Nemorino L’elisir d’Amore for Iford Arts, Serano La donna del Lago for Buxton International Festival and covering Tamino Die Zauberflöte as an Alvarez Young Artist for Garsington Opera. 


Other recent projects include his Aix-en-Provence debut as Andres Wozzeck with Sir Simon Rattle and the LSO, Janek Makropoulos Affair, Benedict Béatrice et Bénédict, Nick La Fanciulla del West, Obadjah Elijah for the Opéra de Lyon. 
Concert highlights includes the tenor solos in the world premiere of Rebecca Dale’s Materna Requiem North Wales International Music Festival with Welsh National Opera, Obadiah Elijah at the Berlin Philharmonie and Verdi Requiem at Birmingham Symphony Hall. Robert has given a solo recital for BBC Radio Cymru and regularly performs on Welsh language television channel S4C.   
Robert won the prestigious W. Towyn Roberts Scholarship at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and was awarded the First Prize and Wendy Blamire Award in Hurn Court Opera’s Singing Competition. He recently won Third Prize and the Placido Domingo Prize at the 2025 Tenor Viñas competition.

Egor Zhuravskii

Winner of Three Prizes at Tenor Viñas 2025, including The Mozart Prize, Russian-Ukrainian tenor Egor Zhuravskii was a member of the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, between 2020 and 2022.


Egor Zhuravskii has received awards from the 38th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, the 46th All-Russian Review Competition for vocalists and the Third International Maria Maksakova Competition.


At the Royal Opera House, he has sung roles including Beppe Pagliacci, Vasily Mavra, Uldino Attila, Malcolm Macbeth, Borsa Rigoletto (a performance available on Opus Arte Blu Ray / DVD) and Alfredo Germont La traviata, as well as Brother 1 The Seven Deadly Sins and Billy Mahagonny Songspiel. He has also sung First Priest Il prigoniero with the London Symphony Orchestra.


Since graduating, his engagements have included a return to The Royal Opera, London, to sing First Man in Armour Die Zauberflöte and Walther von der Vogelweide Tannhäuser and The Seven Deadly Sins at the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. 
He returned to the Royal Opera during the 2022 / 2023 season to sing First Armed Man Die Zauberflöte and Walther von der Vogelweide Tannhäuser, and his recent engagements have further included debuts with Welsh National Opera as Ferrando Così fan tutte, for whom he also sang Mozart Requiem in concert, with Opera North as Fenton Falstaff and The Seven Deadly Sins at the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. In concert, he sang Almeric Iolanta for his debut with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.


Current engagements include returns to Opera North to sing Ferrando Così fan tutte and Tamino The Magic Flute, Don Ottavio Don Giovanni for the Da Ponte Opera Festival, Vittorio Veneto, Apparition of a Youth Die Frau ohne Schatten for Dutch National Opera and Malcolm Macbeth for West Green House Opera. Looking ahead, he will make debuts with Garsington Opera, Irish National Opera and Swedish Chamber Orchestra.

Robert Lewis

Michael Butler is an American lyric tenor hailing from Washington D.C.. He has been described as a “bright lyric tenor that rings throughout his range,” who possesses a “plush and resonant middle voice with vibrant high notes” (OperaWire). He made his Washington National Opera debut as the Mission Coordinator in the world premiere of Jeanine Tesori’s Grounded; he also sang the same role in the workshop of Grounded at The Metropolitan Opera. He will make his international and Italian debut as Martin in The Tender Land by Aaron Copeland, with Teatro Regio di Torino. An alumnus of Des Moines Metro Opera, Butler sang with the company as an apprentice artist in the 2020, 2021, and 2023 seasons. He was also a member of the prestigious Renée Fleming Artist cohort at Aspen Music Festival in the summer of 2022, where he sang the role of Fenton in Verdi’s Falstaff alongside Sir Bryn Terfel in the titular role. He has been frequently seen around the D.C. Metropolitan Area in numerous concerts and productions with notable companies such as Opera Baltimore, Washington Opera Society, BelCantanti Opera, and Partners4theArts.

Butler was recently named the winner of the New York District and Eastern Region of the Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition at The Metropolitan Opera, and moves on to participate in the Semi-Finals round this March. Other recent accolades include First Place in the 2020 Sue Götz Ross Memorial Voice Competition, and First Place in the 2020 National Classical Singer Competition. In April of 2023, Butler performed the title role in Gounod's Faust with Opera Baltimore, a role he first debuted in March of 2022 with Washington Opera Society. The Brazilian mezzo-soprano Marcela Rahal has upcoming performances as Curra in La forza del destino at the Teatro alla Scala, and also as a cover for Preziosilla in the same production. She will perform Maddalena in Rigoletto at the Santa Fe Opera, the Second Norn and Floßhilde in Götterdämmerung at Bühnen Bern, Verdi's Requiem, Federica in Luisa Miller, Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, the title role in Carmen, Charlotte in Werther, and will make her debut at the Royal Opera House.

Among her recent engagements are: La Baronesa in Il cappello di paglia di Firenze at the Teatro alla Scala, Aristea in L’Orontea (also at La Scala), Charlotte in Werther, the title role in Carmen, Angelina in La Cenerentola, Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Giulia Balducci in Il Noce di Benevento, Anna Maria in Himmelhuber Schwergewicht, Nancy in Albert Herring, Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, and Marchesa Melibea in Il viaggio a Reims. She has also performed Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw, Elle in La Voix Humaine, Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief, among others, in Brazil, Germany, and Portugal.

In concert, she has participated in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Mozart’s Requiem, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Mozart arias, Mahler’s 2nd Symphony, Verdi’s Requiem, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, and the St. John Passion, in both Brazil and Portugal.

Marcela Rahal completed her Master's degree in opera singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater ‘Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’ in Leipzig, under KS Prof. Roland Schubert. She graduated in singing from the University of São Paulo (USP) with Professor Francisco Campos.

She has also been part of two Opera Studios: at EMESP (2013-2015) and at the Opera Academy of Theatro São Pedro (2015-2017), both in São Paulo, Brazil.

Among her awards, she won First Prize at the 2024 Tenor Viñas Competition and was a grand finalist in the 2022 Neue Stimmen competition.

Filipe Manu

The Tongan tenor raised in New Zealand, Filipe Manu, is one of the most promising young artists to emerge from the prestigious Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. In 2024, he won the Tenor Viñas Competition and was recognized as Performer of the Year in New Zealand, as well as First Prize at both the IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition and the Lexus Song Quest — two of the most prestigious vocal competitions in New Zealand and Australia.

Manu has performed at some of the world’s most important opera stages — often as the first Tongan-born singer to do so — including the Royal Opera House, Wiener Staatsoper, Opéra National de Paris, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Staatsoper Hamburg, Opera Australia, and Scottish Opera.

Praised for his vocal finesse and stylistic versatility, his opera repertoire spans from early music to contemporary works. Some of his standout roles include: Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Paris (La Belle Hélène), Fenton (Falstaff), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Eduardo (The Exterminating Angel), Hippolyt (Phaedra), The Father (The Seven Deadly Sins), Charlie (Mahagonny Songspiel), Lysander (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Peter Quint (The Turn of the Screw).

He has collaborated with conductors such as Sir Antonio Pappano, Philippe Jordan, Thomas Adès, Mark Wigglesworth, and Dalia Stasevska, as well as stage directors like Barrie Kosky and Michel Barbe, from the renowned duo Barbe & Doucet.

In the concert field, Manu has performed at Wigmore Hall — premiering Man, Woman, Child by Jonathan Dove — and at the Royal Albert Hall. His concert repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah, Stravinsky’s Pulcinella, Britten’s War Requiem, and performances at the Edinburgh International Festival and the Royal Opera House Stars Gala, alongside Lisette Oropesa and Gerald Finley.

Mira Alkhovik

Mira Alkhovik was born in St. Petersburg and played the violin for 12 years before beginning her vocal studies at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg. In her fifth year of study, she spent a semester at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (with Professor Elena Pankratova). Shortly after, she began her specialized studies in opera performance at the Bern University of the Arts (with Professor Malin Hartelius), where she graduated in 2024 with a Master of Arts with honors. During her studies, she received scholarships from foundations such as Vontobel-Stiftung, Rahn Kulturfonds, and Stiftung Lyra.

She was also one of the three winners of the prestigious Eva Kleinitz Scholarship, awarded by the professional association of opera and festivals in Europe, "Opera Europa," in 2024.

In July 2021, Mira made her European debut as PAMINA in Die Zauberflöte by Mozart at the OpernFest in Kandersteg, Switzerland.

During the 2022/23 season, as a member of the Swiss Opera Studio, she performed AMOUR in Orphée et Euridice by Gluck, ANNA in Nabucco by Verdi, and DONNA ANNA in Don Giovanni by Mozart at the Biel Solothurn Opera House (Switzerland).

In May 2024, Mira made her debut as MIMÌ in La Bohème by Puccini at the Teatro Solís in Montevideo.

For the 2024/25 season, Mira has joined the Opernstudio of the Volksoper Vienna. She begins the season with two studio concerts, and throughout the year, she will perform the roles of TAUMÄNNCHEN in Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinck and YVETTE in La Rondine by Puccini.

Mira has been awarded numerous singing prizes. In 2021, she received the Grand Prize at the 8th George Enesco International Competition (Paris). In 2022, she won two second prizes: one at the International LiedDuo Competition for Students (Groningen, Netherlands) and another at the 4th Haydn International Competition (Rohrau, Austria).

In 2022, she was also a finalist in the second season of the TV competition ARIA (Netherlands). In 2023, she won fourth prize and the special prize for the best Chinese Art Song at the prestigious Ningbo International Vocal Competition (China).

In 2024, she won second prize and the Oratorio-Lied Prize at the 61st Tenor Viñas Competition in Barcelona, as well as third prize and the Best Contemporary Song Prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich.

Alongside her operatic career, Mira frequently performs chamber music. In 2022, she studied at the Verbier Festival Academy and the Liedakademie of Heidelberger Frühling with Thomas Hampson.

Sílvia Sequeira was the winner of the CICLO Lousada competition in 2024. In April of the same year, she won first prize and the Audience Prize at the Cascais Opera competition in Portugal, as well as third prize, the Wagner Prize, and the Audience Prize at the "Concurs Tenor Viñas" in Barcelona. Also in 2024, she made her debut as 'Matilde' in the opera Felizmente há Luar by Alexandre Delgado, and as a soloist, she debuted as soprano II in Mahler's Symphony No. 8, as soprano in Britten's War Requiem, and participated in the Festival der Jungen Stimmen in Sigriswil.

She has been invited to various concerts in Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, and Slovenia. She debuted as 'Suor Angelica' in December 2023 in the Netherlands, and in September of the same year, she debuted as 'Donna Elvira' in Don Giovanni at the Óbidos Opera Festival in Portugal. In May 2023, she performed Maria Stuarda in the production by the Dutch National Opera.

She won the 'Klara' Audience Prize at the "Queen Elisabeth Competition" in Belgium, was the winner of the 'ARIA' competition, and received second prize, the prize for best dramatic voice, a special prize, and the audience prize at the "Ebe Stignani Competition." She also won third prize at the "Vinceró Competition," the audience prize at the "Ciclo Lousada" competition, and audience prizes at the "IVC" competition in 2022.

In 2021, she won second prize at the Portuguese Rotary Foundation Competition. That summer, she premiered the role of "Micaela" in Carmen by G. Bizet in Weikersheim, Germany, under the direction of Elijah Grandy. She made her international debut in 2019 with Zanetto, the opera by P. Mascagni, playing the role of 'Silvia' at the Conservatory of Maastricht.

Christian Pursell is a dynamic and passionate actor with an unmatched stage presence, a captivating and powerful voice, and great mastery in musical genres ranging from Baroque to musical theatre, including bel canto and romantic opera.

In May 2025, Mr. Pursell will make his debut as Tom in the world premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon's opera This House at the Opera Theatre of St. Louis. The 2024-2025 season began with his debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Sciarrone in Tosca in September, also covering the roles of Hermann/Schlemil in Les contes d'Hoffmann. In October, he joined the St. Thomas Bach Ensemble with members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. In November, he returned to the Seattle Symphony to perform Fauré’s Requiem, sang the title role in Mendelssohn's Elijah with the San Jose Symphonic Choir, and was a soloist with the Portland Baroque Orchestra in Handel’s Messiah.

In July 2024, Mr. Pursell released his first art song album, Ferne, a live lieder recital, available on IDAGIO, Apple Music, and Spotify. The previous season, he added three notable roles to his repertoire: Leporello in Don Giovanni (Cincinnati Opera), Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Virginia Opera), and the role of Noah at Carnegie Hall (debut) in a concert performance of Ricky Ian Gordon’s The Grapes of Wrath.

As a concert soloist, Mr. Pursell has performed Handel’s Messiah with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, Samuel in Handel’s Saul with the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra at Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Salome by Strauss with Fabio Luisi and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed works such as Britten’s War Requiem, Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem, Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Haydn’s The Creation, Fauré’s Requiem, and Pärt’s Passio. In January 2024, Pursell won the Fourth Prize and the "Best Baritone" award at the Tenor Viñas International Singing Competition in Barcelona. He also received second prize at the 2024 Concorso Lirico Internazionale Tebaldi-Gigli-Corelli. He placed third in the 2022 Vocal Opera Mississippi Competition and won third prize at the 2021 James Toland Vocal Arts Competition. He is a recipient of the 2019 Igor Gorin Memorial Prize, was a national semifinalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (2016), and also a quarterfinalist at the 2019 Operalia competition. He received the Richard F. Gold Career Grant (2018), won the Partners for the Arts competition (2018), second prize at the Jensen Foundation competition (2017), the Theodor Uppman Prize from the Sullivan Foundation (2017), and a Sara Tucker Study Grant from the Richard Tucker Music Foundation (2017).

A graduate of the prestigious Adler Fellowship program at the San Francisco Opera, Mr. Pursell performed roles such as Lieutenant Ratcliffe in Billy Budd and Walter Raleigh in Roberto Devereux. He also gave a highly praised performance as Dandini in La Cenerentola with the Merola Opera Program.

Winner of the Mozart Prize and Fifth Prize at the Tenor Viñas Competition 2024, and awarded the Young Talent Prize (Voice) by The Critics' Circle in 2022, Ossian Huskinson was a finalist at the Paris Opera Competition in 2023. He was also a finalist at Neue-Stimmen 2022 and won First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Clonter Opera Competition 2021.

He was awarded the Simon Sandbach Prize for his performance as Zaretsky in Eugene Onegin at the Garsington Opera in Wormsley, where he returned to perform Pluto in the critically acclaimed production of Orfeo directed by John Caird, conducted by Laurence Cummings, as well as Truffaldino in Ariadne auf Naxos.

His major operatic engagements have included: the Angel in It’s a Wonderful Life by Jake Heggie, Sciarrone in Tosca, Bob Becket in HMS Pinafore, and Harašta in The Cunning Little Vixen for the English National Opera, where he was an artist in the Harewood Programme; Sarastro in The Magic Flute and Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro at the Dorset Opera Festival; and Lackey in Ariadne auf Naxos at the Edinburgh International Festival. He made his debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, performing roles such as Second Armored Man in Die Zauberflöte and Pietro in Simon Boccanegra.

Sabrina Sanza

Sabrina Sanza, an Italian soprano, was born on June 24, 1996, in Naples. She began her musical studies at the age of 12 under the direction of Maestro Giovanni Aprea. In 2020, she earned her master's degree in Lyric Singing with top honors, an honorary mention, and a special mention at the “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in Naples, under the guidance of Maestro Daniela Del Monaco. She is currently perfecting her skills with soprano Iano Tamar and is enrolled in a master’s program in Musicology at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome.

She is the winner of the 61st edition of the Tenor Viñas Competition at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, where she received one of the official prizes, the award for Best Performer of G. Verdi, and a scholarship for an advanced training academy.

Soprano Yewon Han was born in Seong-Nam, South Korea. She started her study in KayWon Arts High School in 2014. She earned Bachelor of Arts degree with the highest honor from Seoul National University in 2021. She studied with Attila Jun.


Yewon Han’s operatic debut was an ‘Amahl’ in Gian Carlo Menotti’s "Amahl and the Night Visitors" at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in 2018. Since then, she has established herself as an Opera Singer.
In 2019, Yewon performed as a ‘Lauretta’ in Puccini’s "Gianni Schicchi" in Seoul National University. She made successful opening night in Paolo Panizza’s production. After that performance, she selected as a role of ‘Papagena’ in Mozart’s "Die Zauberflöte" at Art Center Incheon in 2020.
She has received numerous awards in many nationally acclaimed competitions. In 2020, She won First Prizes in JoongAng Music Concours, Korean Voice Competition, KBS KEPCO Music Competition, and Korean Classical Singers Association International Vocal Competition. In addition, she has won Gold Prize in Korea National Opera Competition (2020), First Prize in Vocal Music Competition of Gwangju (2021), and Grand Prize in Vocal Music Competition of Daegu (2021).


Summer 2021, Yewon began her international career. She won third Prize of the International Singing Competition Neue Stimmen 2021/2022 in Germany. She also won first Prize in Concurso Tenor Viñas (2023) in Spain.

Ann-Kathrin Niemczyk is the recipient of four prizes at 2023 edition of Tenor Viñas Contest in Barcelona, including the third prize overall and the prize as better performer of Wagner. Morover she is the winner of First Prize and Audience Prize at the “Hans Gabor” Belvedere International Singing Competition 2023.
Since the 2022/23 season, she is a member of the International Opera Studio at Opernhaus Zürich, where she has already sung First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Maria Bellacanta in Hexe Hillary geht in die Oper, and she also covers leading roles as Tatjana in Evgenij Onegin and Agathe in Der Freischütz. 
She made her debut at the Salzburg Festival in Summer 2022, performing in three production: Parsifal (Blumenmädchen), Janáček’s Kát'a Kabanová, Lucia di Lammermoor (Alisa alongside Lisette Oropesa and Benjamin Bernheim). 


Born in Hagen, Ann-Kathrin Niemczyk began her studies in December 2014 with Melanie Maennl, who continues to be her vocal coach. She gained her earliest experience of the stage as a child soloist at the Theater Hagen, where she appeared in several operas, including Die Zauberflöte, The cunning little vixen and Der Rosenkavalier, all under the baton of Music Director M° Florian Ludwig.


Between 2018 and 2022 she has been studying at the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold with Markus Köhler and Manuel Lange, and while studying she performed the role of Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and as soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
Ann-Kathrin Niemczyk has been awarded in several international singing competitions: in 2022 she received the scholarship awarded by the three Berlin opera houses at the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang in Berlin, in 2021 she won the “Iris Adami Corradetti” Competition in Padova (Italy) as well as the international Brahms Lied Competition in Pörtschach (Austria). In 2019 she won the international Giulio Perotti Competition with the distinction: Grand Prix in all categories, special prize for the best interpretation of a German Lied and special prize for an extraordinary voice. She is also a laureate of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg.


She will appear in the forthcoming productions of Macbeth, Die lustige Witwe and Die Wallküre (Ortlinde)
at Zurich Opera House.

Tenor Anthony Ciaramitaro continues to draw attention for his warm Italianate sound and compelling stage presence. In 2023, Mr. Ciaramitaro made his mainstage debut as Fenton in Falstaff at Palm Beach Opera, returns to LA Opera as Cassio in Otello, and makes his international and role debuts as Alfredo Germont in La Traviata at The Macerata Opera Festival in Italy, under Maestro Domenico Longo. In 2022, Mr. Ciaramitaro made his professional and house debuts in the demanding role of Giorgio in Ricky Ian Gordon’s world premiere The Garden of the Finzi-Continis with New York City Opera, Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor with LA Opera, and made his Metropolitan Opera debut as Il Messaggero in Aïda. 


Mr. Ciaramitaro is a former Domingo-Coburn-Stein Young Artist at LA Opera, where he performed Il Messaggero in Aïda, Heinrich der Schreiber in Tannhäuser, Ruiz in Il Trovatore, and Lord Cecil in Roberto Devereux.  Mr. Ciaramitaro was an inaugural member of the Renée Fleming Fellowship at the Aspen Musical Festival, where he debuted Tamino in Die Zauberflöte.  In previous seasons, he appeared as an Apprentice Artist with the Santa Fe Opera, an Apprentice Artist with the Palm Beach Opera, and a Studio Artist with Arizona Opera; performing Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia and the Governor/Vanderdendur in Candide.  As a member of the Merola Opera Program, Mr. Ciaramitaro performed Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola, and has been and a StudioArtist with Chautauqua Opera and Wolf Trap Opera.


In competition, Mr. Ciaramitaro was awarded 4th Official Prize, the Placido Domingo Tenor Prize, and the Verdi Special Prize at the 60th Tenor Viñas Contest, won the  CulturArte Prize at Operalia 2022, 2nd place at the 2022 Butler Opera International Vocal Competition, 3rd place in the 2022 Lorhen L. Zachary National Vocal Competition, 2nd place in the 2021 Palm Springs Opera Guild Vocal Competition, and 3rd place in Vero Beach Opera Rising Stars Competition.

Soprano Julia Muzychenko is the recent 5th prize Winner of the Tenor Viñas Competition, Grand Prize Winner of the Clermont Ferrand International Opera Competition, 2nd Prize Winner of the Monserrat Caballe Competition and the 'Meistersinger von Nürnberg'Competition (1st place and audience prize), 55'Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane città di Bussetto, International Competition 'Opera de Tenerife' (1st place and audience prize) Eva Marton Competition (3rd place).
Current and future engagements include her debut as Swan Princess (The Tale of Tsar Saltan) with Opéra national du Rhin, Violetta (La Traviata) with Teatro Comunale di Bologna and a concert with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker at the Heidenheim Festival.
 

Recent highlights include Gilda (Rigoletto), Nanetta (Falstaff) and Norina (Don Pasquale) with National Opera Montpellier, the title role in Lakme with the Les Nuit Lyriques de Marmande Festival, Oksana (The Night Before Christmas Eve) with Oper Frankfurt, which was recorded and distributed on DVD by Naxos. Additionally she has sung Amina (La Sonnambula) with Opera Limoges, Opera d’Avignon, Opera de Metz.

Julia recently was a Junges Ensemble member of the Dresden Semperoper, where her roles included Musetta (La Boheme), Olympia (Les Contes d'Hoffmann)and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte).
Ms. Muzychenko was also selected to be a soloist at the famed Semper Opernball 2020.
Additionally she performed as Violetta Valery (La Traviata) at the Verdi Festival in Bussetto, and Opera de Tenerife.
Ms. Muzychenko has completed her training as a member of the Bolshoi Theater's Young Artist Program, and Houston Grand Opera's Vocal Academy.

Russian American Soprano, Erika Baikoff, is a recent graduate of the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, during which she made her MET debut singing Xenia in Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov. Other recent engagements include the soprano solo in Bach’s B minor Mass with Orchestre Métropolitain, Woglinde in Das Rheingold with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, recitals with the Schubertìada festival in Spain and concerts with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Erika is the first prize winner of the Concours International de Chant-Piano Nadia et Lili Boulanger, Helmet Deutsch Liedwettbewerb, George London Foundation Awards and Mondavi Young Artist Competition.

Soprano Gemma Summerfield graduated from the Royal College of Music International Opera Studio in 2016. Continuing to work closely with Rosa Mannion she has enjoyed honing her craft across a wide range of repertoire. Highlights on the Operatic Stage include Mimì (La bohème, Northern Ireland Opera), Nanetta (Falstaff, Scottish Opera), Pamina (The Magic Flute, Glyndebourne & Scottish Opera), Paula Jordan (Dinner at Eight, Wexford Festival Opera) Rodelinda (Rodelinda, cover, English National Opera) Michal (Saul, cover, Glyndebourne Festival Opera), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Ginevra (Ariodante) and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni). This season will see Gemma perform Fiordiligi in Così fan Tutte for Opéra national du Rhin and make her Wigmore Hall Recital Debut.

Gemma consistently proves her capabilities on platforms around the world. In recent recitals she has performed throughout the UK, and in Norway, Canada and Denmark. Oratorio Performances include Beethoven in Switzerland, Bach in Beirut and Mozart in Westminster Abbey. This Season she will debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mozart Concert Orchestra and in recital with Duo Partner Sebastian Wybrew.

Using competition platforms regularly to cement her standing amongst her peers, Gemma was awarded First Prize in the Concorso Lirico Internazionale de Portofino 2019, ‘swept the board’ at the 2015 Kathleen Ferrier Awards winning both 1st Prize and the Loveday Song Prize , and was the only British finalist in the inaugural Glyndebourne Cup and the 2018 Concours Musical International de Montreal.

Also a Yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians having been awarded the Silver Medal, Gemma holds the current Susan Chilcott award, administered by the Royal Philharmonic Society and is a Carne Scholar.

Eugénie is a french mezzo-soprano who studied in Lyon with Pierre Ribémont. Then, she perfected herself in different repertoire with Anaïk Morel, Françoise Pollet, Irene Kudela, Marie-Claude Papion and Antoine Palloc.

In 2018, she won the 1st Opera Prize and the 1st Melody Prize at the 25th International Opera Competition in Mâcon.  She made her debut as the 3rd Lady (Die Zauberflöte), under the baton of Quentin Hindley.

In 2019/20, she became a member of the Opera Studio, supervised by Vincent Monteil in the Opera National du Rhin where she performed in Rusalka (3rd Nymph), and in L’Heure Espagnole (Concepcion).

In 2020/21, she was Gertrude in Hansel and Gretel, The German Mother/The Danish Lady/The Newspaper seller in Death in Venice and Kate Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly.

In 2021/22, she became a member of the opera company, Opera Fuoco, supervised by David Stern and she sang in the Charity Concert of Unisson Association at Opéra Comique in Paris.

She was a finalist of the "Ottavio Ziino" competition in Roma and then, she sang les Fables de Jean de La Fontaine under the baton of Roberto Kalb.

At the end of October 2021, she won the 1st Prize "Révélations" of the 6th Competition Jeunes Espoirs Raymond Duffaut in Avignon. 

She continued with the prestigious Academia "Bel Canto" of la Fondation des Treilles where she worked with Ivan Alexandre, Julien Benhamou, Alain Perroux and the great Patrizia Ciofi.

At the end of January 2022, she won the 2nd Prize, the zarzuela's prize and 3 others in the form of contracts of the 59th Tenor Viñas Competition in Barcelona.

Then, she won a Victoire de la Musique Classique 2022 in the category "Révélation Artiste Lyrique" .

In May 2022, she will sing Karolka in Jenůfa at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.

During the summer, she will have the opportunity to sing for "Musiques en fête" at The Théâtre Antique d'Orange and after, she will be at the festival "L'offrande musicale" with David Fray. 

Her season will end with 3 recitals alongside Florent Lattuga.

San Francisco Classical Voice hails South Korean tenor SeokJong Baek for his “warm, beautifully modulated voice”, Mr. Baek is the 1st Place winner of the 2021 Loren L. Zachary Society National Vocal Competition, 1st Prize, Audience Award and Enrico Caruso Award winner of the 2021 Vincero World Singing Competition, 3rd Prize, audience prize and Placido Domingo Prize-winner of the 59th Tenor Viñas Competition, and 3rd Price winner of the 2021 Iris Adami Corradetti International Competition. This season, he makes his role and house debut in the title role in Samson et Dalila the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, and also joins Palm Springs Opera in concert singing arias from Turandot, Tosca, Carmen and La Gioconda. Next season, he will make his Prague State Opera debut singing his first performances of Calaf in Turandot, Canio in Pagliacci and Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana, make his Arizona Opera debut as Cavaradossi in Tosca, and join the roster of the Metropolitan Opera.

Aleksei Kulagin was born in Orel. Aleksei was soloist in musical theater Zazerkalie (2018-2019). In 2019 he graduated from the St Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire and joined the Young Artist Program of the Bolshoi Theatre under the Head of the Program Prof. Dmitry Vdovin.

He has participated in masterclasses with Neil Shikoff, Evamaria Wieser, Robert Koerner, Sergei Leiferkus, Ernesto Palacio, Placido Domingo, Ildar Abdrazakov. He worked with Luba Orfenova, Mzia Bakhtouridze, Semyon Skigin, Ivari Ilija, conducters Tugan Sokhiev, Alexander Solovjov, Dmitry Korchak, Mikhail Sinkevich, Philipp Chizhevsky, Anton Grishanin, Pavel Klinichev.

Aleksei perfomed more than 20 operatic roles include Masetto in Don Giovanni. King Rene in Iolanta, Bertrand, Sobakin in The Tsar’s Bride, Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin, Marchese d'Obign in La Traviata, Grandfather Frost, Bermyata in The Snow Maiden, Bonze in Madama Butterfly, Simone in Gianni Schicchi, Angelotti in Tosca by Puccini, Aleko and the Old Gypsy in Rachmaninoff’s Aleko.

One of the most exciting vocal talents to emerge in recent seasons globally, baritone Blake Denson, is praised for his "captivating dramatic interpretations" with “a striking upper register “and "a sound that boomed to the back of the house” (Opera Wire). Recently, Mr. Denson was named a winner of the George London Foundation Competition, The International Concurs Tenor Viñas Competition, and the winner in The Dallas Opera National Vocal Competition. Mr. Denson was also a Grand Finalist winner of the 2020 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

His roles and appearances in his first years in Houston Grand Opera included Peter in Hansel und Gretel, Soloist in Giving Voice, Soloist in Suite Español, and Daddy/Tim in the world premier of The Snowy Day. In the 2021/22 season he can be seen as Gregorio in Roméo et Juliette, Jailor in Dialogues des Carmélites, and Morales after being canceled because of Covid19 in Carmen. This season he will also make is Company debut with Des Moines Metro Opera sing the role of Jake in a new production of Porgy and Bess.

In the upcoming season Mr. Denson will fest with the Staatsoper Hamburg while also being contracted around the world. Some of the houses Mr. Denson will perform with in future seasons include:  The Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Sante Fe Opera, Opera de National Paris, Bayerische Staatsoper, English National Opera, Staatsoper Hamburg, Washington National Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Houston Symphony, and Paducah Symphony.

Young Italian tenor Paride Cataldo is quickly becoming recognized for his rich, lyric voice and captivating stage presence after winning the Verdi Prize at the 2022 Tenor Viñas International Singing Competition in Barcelona, second prize at the 2021 Concorso Internazionale Lirico Ottavio Ziino in Rome and first prize at the 2018 L’Assoluta Virginia Zeani Competition in Romania.

Recent and forthcoming engagements include making his Irish National Opera debut in the title of Werther; his Teatro alla Scala debut as Un Servo di Amelia Un ballo in maschera, the tenor soloist in Ramírez’s Misa Criolla at Teatro Carlo Felice, Rodolfo La bohème at the Festival Internazionale delle Arti, Gabriele D'Annunzio in the world premiere of Willem Jeths’ Ritratto at the Dutch National Opera, Alfredo La Traviata at the Teatro Politeama Greco Lecce and on tour in a special collaboration with the Teatro Regio di Parma.

He began his musical studies at the age of eight, joining the children's choir of Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. After years of studying opera singing with his father, in 2015 he met his current teacher, the tenor Salvatore Cordella, who admitted him to his Germogli d'Arte Academy. There, he was awarded best student of the Academy, which allowed him to make his debut at the VII edition of the Festival Internazionale delle Arti, performing the role of Alfredo La traviata, directed by M. Sergio La Stella.

Following this, he was invited to carry out periods of study at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and at the Teatr Wielki Opera Noradowa in Warsaw, Poland, where he subsequently performed in various opera concerts.

Born in San Sebastián, Spain, Carmen Artaza began her musical training by playing the violin at the Francisco Escudero Conservatory and singing in the Araoz Gazte Choir. The young mezzo-soprano is currently studying with Professor Michelle Breedt at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt. The winner of the first prize of the 58th Tenor Viñas Contest was also awarded 5 other prizes, among which were the Mozart prize and the audience prize. In January 2020, the mezzo-soprano won the first prize at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Hochschulwettbewerb in Berlin. In 2018 she won the Audience Award, the Young Talents Award and the First Prize at the Luis Mariano International Competition in Spain. In the summer of 2019, Carmen makes her debut at the Salzburger Festsiele playing the role of Bradamante in the new children's composition Gesang der Zauberinsel, as part of the Young Singers Project of the Salzburg Festival. Artaza has performed both opera and concert in theaters such as the Barbican Center in London or the Berlin Philharmonic and she has worked with orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Bavarian Chamber Orchestra, the Munich Symphony or the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra. At a 2018 BBC total immersion concert, Carmen performed and recorded Enrique Granados' La maja dolorosa I, II, III for BBC3.

Ukrainian mezzo-soprano Olga Syniakova is a graduate of the Dnipro Academy of Music where she received Bachelor degrees in Vocal Performance, vocal teacher. Ms. Syniakova was studying in opera studio Placido Domingo in Valencia from September 2017 till July 2019. There she made concerts and masterclasses and various roles as Ernesto from Il Mondo della Luna, Second lady from The Magic Flute , Laura from  Iolanta, Alisa from Lucia di Lammermoor. Olga Syniakova took part in the Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle, conducted by Fabio Biondi. After the same project she sang with huge orchestra Europa Galante conductor Fabio Biondi in St. Petri Dom Bremen where this masterpiece closed Bremen Musikfest in September 2018. Ms. Syniakova has an award “The best mezzo-soprano of season 2018-2019” in Palau de les Arts (Valencia, Spain). In 2020 she made her debut in Real Filharmonía de Galicia in role Orphée (Orphée et Eurydice).

Born in Misiones (Argentina), Germán E. Alcántara began his studies at the School of Music in Misiones receiving the diploma of Professor of Arts: Music. Later he studied at the University of Cuyo (Mendoza), Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris (under Rosa Dominguez) and the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid (with Ryland Davies). He is currently studying for a Doctorate in Music and Performance, with the project “Cantocando: challenges of self-accompaniment”, at the University of Aveiro - Portugal.

Graduated from the Jette Parker Young Artist Program at the Royal Opera House in London, where he debuted in the 2018/19. During the 2019/20 season he appears again as Wagner (Faust) in "ROH-Japan", in addition to: Steersman (Tristan und Isolde) and Prince Yamadori (Madama Butterfly). His awards include Golden Medal (high distinction) of the 5th Manhathan Competition 2020, Laureat in Queen Elizabeth Competition 2018, First Prize in the Bach Joven Competition in Paraguay, Second Prize in the Competition for Young Students of Lyrical Singing in Buenos Aires, Premier Prix in Concours Lyrique International ad Alta Voce in Paris and Priz Artifex Proart in the Zarzuela Contest of Valleseco, Spain.

Vasily Sokolov was born on January 20, 1995 in the city of Irkutsk. In 2011, he entered the Fryderyk Chopin College of Music in the department of academic vocal. In 2015, he graduated from college and entered the GITIS Faculty of Musical Theater on the course of Andres Zhagars, in the same year he took the academy for military service on conscription. He served in the Alexandrov Ensemble, performed at various venues around the world. Since 2017, he has been a soloist of the B. A. Pokrovsky Chamber Music Theater (since September 2018, the Chamber Stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia).

Chuan Wang was born in Luoyang, China, and started learning singing at 17. He graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Milan Verdi Conservatory, and La Scala Accademia. He won the First Prizes in the 7th Salvatore Licitra International Lyric Opera Competition and the Second Prizes in the 5th Portofino International Lyric Opera Competition.

From 2017 to 2020, he performed many roles in La Scala, such as Almaviva from the children’s version of Il Barbiere di Siviglia;  Nemorino from the children’s version of L’elisir d’amore; Ramiro from the children’s version of La Cenerentola; Calaf from Cherubini’s Alì Babà ; Rinuccio from Gianni Schicchi and the Duke from Rigoletto. In 2021, he will sing Ernesto from Don Pasquale in Parma Opera House and Gernando and Ubaldo from Armida in Marseille Opera.

Inna Demenkova studied at the Moscow Regional Basic Music College named after A. N. Scriabin (Professor's class Nikulina N. B.) and V. S. Popov Academy of Choral Art (Professor N. B. Nikulina.). She is winner of numerous prizes at international and national competitions, including the 6th Pize and the special prize for the performance of the Russian repertoire in the 58 International Singing Contest Tenor Viñas (Barcelona, Spain), Abdrazakovfest 2020 educational program (Moscow), Grand Prix winner of the VI All-Russian Sobinov vocal competition and Opera Competition Golden Autumn in Chengdu, China.

Recent highlights include the closing of the Abdrazakovfesti festival – Gala Verdi (Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory) and the performance “Amadeus. Laboratory of Opera” (Novaya Opera Theater) in 2020; Spiritual concert (P. I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall), educational tour “Masterpieces of world culture” in 23 cities of Russia and Gran Opera Gala Concert (Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory) in 2019.

Demenkova’s opera repertory includes: recitative and aria of Donna Elvira from Don Giovanni, Amalia’s aria and stretta from I Masnadieri, Musetta’s Waltz from La Boheme, The romance of Antonia from Les contes d’Hoffmann, Rimsky-Korsakov aria.

Aigul Khismatullina was born in Naberezhnye Chelny (Republic of Tatarstan). In 2014 she graduated from the Kazan State Zhiganov Conservatory (class of Klara Khayrutdinova), following which she undertook an assistant traineeship under Albina Shagimuratova (2014–2016). Since 2016 she has been a soloist at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in Vladivostok. In 2017 she became a grant-recipient of the Atkins Young Artists Program Fellowship at the Mariinsky Theatre. She made her Mariinsky Theatre debut as The Nightingale in Stravinsky's opera Le Rossignol.

Ivan Ayon Rivas was born in 1993 in Perù. He studied opera under the tutelage of María Eloisa Aguirre at the National Conservatory of Music of Perù. He pursued his studies with Juan Diego Florez, Ernesto Palacio, Vincenzo Scalera, Maurizio Colaccichi and Luigi Alva. He is currently studying in Italy with baritone Roberto Servile.

In November 2014 he made his debut in Ludwigshafen/BASF in a Gala with Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, in the benefit concert of Juan Diego Florez, under the baton of Fabio Luisi.

He sang in Mercadante’s Francesca Rimini at the Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca conducted by Fabio Luisi, where he came back the following year in Un giorno di regno.

During the 2018/19 season, Liv Redpath makes her role debut as Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel conducted by James Conlon at the Los Angeles Opera. She will sing a concert of Handel and Rameau arias with Christophe Rousset, reprise the role of Zerbinetta in Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos for Cincinnati Opera, and cover Bess in Breaking the Waves at the Edinburgh International Festival. Concert appearances include Mozart’s Requiem and Kirchner’s Songs of Ascent with Los Angeles Master Chorale at Walt Disney Concert Hall, in addition to Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges as Le feu/la princesse/le rossignol with the Pacific Symphony. Past seasons include Zerbinetta in Richard Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos at The Santa Fe Opera, L’amour in John Neumeier’s new production of Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice, as well as Olympia in Les contes d’Hoffmann with the Los Angeles Opera. Additional concert appearances include Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, Vivaldi’s Gloria with Seattle Symphony, as well as Poulenc’s Gloria, Vaughan-Williams’ Hodie, and Handel’s Messiah at Carnegie Hall.

Winner of the third prize at Tenor Vinas Singing Contest in 2019, the Chinese tenor Long Long is considered one of the most promising lyric tenors of his generation. He is a winner of the Grand Prix de l’Opera in Bucharest 2016, Giovani Voci Verdiane in Busseto 2017, and finalist at Operalia 2018 in Lisbon. In 2017 he was participating to Georg Solti Accademia in Italy. Since 2017 Long Long has been a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. From the season 2019/20 Long Long will be a member of the Staatsoper Hannover.

Jaka Mihelac studied at the Music academy Ljubljana in class of prof. Matjaž Robavs. He is winner of numerous prizes at international and national competitions, including the fourth prize and two special prizes at the 56th Tenor Viñas competition in Barcelona (2019), the Will Keune prize in the finals of the 37th Hans Gabor Belvedere competition (2018), the first prize and a special prize at the Ferruccio Tagliavini competition in Deutschlandsberg (2018), and the first prize at the Slovenian national singing competition (2016).
 

In 2018 he has made a debut as Yamadori (G. Puccini – Madama Butterfly) in the Slovene National Theater in Ljubljana and as Ottokar (C. M. Webber – Der Freischütz) at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg. In 2017 he has debuted in a scenic performance of C. Orff's Carmina Burana, produced by Echo Classic in Berlin. From 2016 he has performed main roles in four premieres of Slovenian operas. As a soloist he has performed with Staatskapelle Berlin, Berliner Symphoniker, Slovenian Phillharmonic Orchestra, Slovene National Theatre Ljubljana Orchestra and others. From season 2019/20 he is a member of the International Opera Studio at the Berlin Staatsoper.

In 2016 Valentyna Pluzhnikova made her debut at the Theatre of the P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy (Kiev, Ukraine) with the role of Flora in Verdi's La traviata. Since 2016 she regularly takes part in productions of the National Tchaikovsky Opera studio (Kiev, Ukraine). In September 2017 she joined the Academia Operowa of the Polish National Theatre in Warsaw. On January 1, 2019 she took part in the Gala Lirico di Capodanno at the Teatro Verdi Firenze (Italy) with Orchestra della Toscana. At the moment Pluzhnikova is a fourth -year student at the P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine with Gennady Kabka. In summer 2019 she will take part in the Young Singers Project of Salzburg festival.

A native of Busan, South Korea, Siman Chung returned to the Metropolitan Opera this season for its production of Nico Muhly’s Marnie. In 2018, he sang the title role in the Berlioz edition of Gluck’s Orphée with Opera Columbus, in Toronto, and at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. Mr. Chung joined the roster of the Metropolitan Opera, participating in the company premiere of Thomas Adès’s The Exterminating Angel. He appeared with Korean National Opera in Vivaldi’s Orlando fintzo pazzo. In 2015, Chung made his Carnegie Hall debut singing Handel’s Messiah. In 2017, he made his New York recital debut in Presented by Opera Index, as a winner of its major prize. In 2018, he made his Lincoln Center debut singing the role of Fileno from Clori, Tirsi e Fileno by Händel. He also received first prize of the Gerda Lissner Foundation Competition in New York, the sixth Official Prize in Tenor Viñas Competition in Barcelona, Spain and a grant from the Sullivan Foundation.

From Volgograd, Victoria is currently of member of the prestigious Young Artist Programme at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia where she has appeared as Aglaya in a new production of Weinberg’s The Idiot and Third wood sprite in new production of Rusalka with Ainars Rubikis. Victoria has toured extensively with the Bolshoi, with performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington and across France.

Recent highlights include Dritte dame in Die Zauberflöte conducted by Stanislav Kochanovsky, and Stimme von oben in Die Frau ohne Schatten with Valery Gergiev at the Verbier Festival, and the Mozart Requiem with the Athens Philharmonic. This season Victoria will make her US debut as Olga in Eugene Onegin at Palm Beach Opera, and will sing Stravinsky's Les noces with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra.

Natalia Kutateladze, born in Georgia, studied singing at the Juilliard School of Music in New York with Edith Wiens. The mezzo-soprano was able to gain numerous stage experiences both in her home country and abroad. So she was, among others, to experience as Ottone (Agrippina) in a Juilliard production and as Mercédès (Carmen) at the Tbilisi State Opera. In addition, she participated in various competitions and master classes, including the Metropolitan Opera House Council Audition and the IMA - International Mastersinger Academy. In the 2018/19 season she was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera.

Baritone Insik Choi received his first vocal training in Seoul Yonsei University with Professor Kwan-dong Kim and completed his studies at the Conservatory Cologne. In 2014 he performed Marcello in Puccini’s La Bohème in South Korea. He made his debut as Marcello in La Bohème at the Oper Köln. Since 2015 he has been a member of the Opera Studio of the Cologne. After the season 2017/18 he has been working as an ensemble. He plans to Le nozze di Figaro, La traviata and Carmen in the 20/21 season. He is a winner of the Tenerife International Vocal Competition and the Fourth Official Prize in Tenor Viñas Competition in Barcelona, Audience Prize.

Brazilian-American mezzo-soprano/alto Melissa Zgouridi is the winner of various awards including the Fulbright Grant and First Place in the Friends of Eastman Opera Vocal Competition. She was a New Orleans District Winner in the 2020 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. In January 2020, Melissa won 5th prize and the “Mercedes Viñas” extraordinary prize at the 57th International Tenor Viñas Singing Competition in Barcelona.

Her recent performance highlights include the alto solo in Matthäus-Passion (Bach) and Petite messe solennelle (Rossini) in the Netherlands, Lehrbuben in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (Wagner) conducted by Christian Thielemann and directed by Jens-Christian Herzog at the Salzburg Easter Festival, and Roßweiße in a concert version of Die Walküre (Wagner) with the Staatstheater Augsburg in Germany.

Melissa graduated with distinction from the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg (Austria) in 2018 with a Master’s Degree in Lied and Oratorio. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York (USA).

"I had such a wonderful time at the Viñas Competition. I loved getting to meet talented singers from all over the world and having the opportunity to sing each round not only in front of such a renown jury but also an enthusiastic audience made it all the better. Maria Brea, soprano, a native of Caracas, Venezuela.  In 2020 Maria Brea makes her debut as Francisquita in Carmen at Rose Theater at Lincoln Center with MasterVoices. She sings soprano solo in Carmina Burana with MasterVoices. In fall, 2019, Ms. Brea debuted with New Camerata Opera singing the role of Elena in the zarzuela El barbero de Sevilla. This past summer, Maria was a Stern Fellow at Songfest and debuted with the Queens Symphony Orchestra. Last spring, Ms. Brea made her Opera Tampa debut singing the title role in Maestro Anton Coppola's Lady Swanwhite, premiere. Maria won first prize in the Giulio Gari 17and New York Lyric Opera 16.

In preparation is the Massenet Manon and Elvira in I puritani in 2022-23.
