To facilitate participation and bring the competition closer to singers from other countries, the Gran Teatre del Liceu has an agreement with the opera houses of Madrid, Paris, London, Berlin, Milan, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Beijing to hold preliminary auditions there.
