The Teatro Real receives the winners of the Tenor Viñas Competition this April

 

On April 6, the Teatro Real in Madrid hosted the Winners' Concert of the 62nd edition of the Tenor Viñas International Singing Contest.

 

The Competition was held last January at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, achieving a record participation with 645 singers from 61 countries.

 

The concert was conducted by Barcelona conductor Daniel Montané.

 

The winning singers who performed are:

• Glòria Jieun Choi, soprano (1st PRIZE, 62nd edition)

Mihai Damian, baritone (2nd PRIZE, 62nd edition)

Robert Lewis, tenor (3rd PRIZE, 62nd edition)

Egor Zhuravskii, tenor (4th PRIZE, 62nd edition)

 

Also participating was the New Zealand tenor Felipe Manu, joint winner of the 1st PRIZE at the 61st edition of the Competition, who was unable to participate in last season's concert.
