Interview with Felix Park, Fourth Prize at the 63rd Tenor Viñas Contest, Audience Award and Prize for Best Verdi Interpretation

Junhyeok Felix Park (Corea del Sud, 1997) és el jove baríton guanyador del Quart Premi en el 63è Concurs Tenor Viñas. Guanyador també del Premi Especial millor interpret de Verdi i Premi del Públic a millor veu masculina. 

— Once the competition has finished, how do you feel?

I'm so happy, so grateful and thankful. I just want to mention that every singer here is very talented and works so hard every moment, every backstage and I'm just one of them, I think I was a little bit lucky, so I'm very thankful. I think the Viñas competitions is very important for every young singers, I want to challenge myself and learn more from this amazing experience.

— What led you to the world of lyric and opera, and when did you decide to pursue it professionally?

I started singing in a choir when I was a child. Later I discovered opera music and fell in love with it, so that was when I decided to become an opera singer.

 — In three words, how would you define the Tenor Viñas Contest?

Inspiring, challenging, special. 

— What advice would you give to future participants of the Contest?

Just be honest with your voice, yourself, your mental, use this competition and enjoy it.
